Swiss carrier Edelweiss Air has officially recommenced its seasonal flight schedule to Sri Lanka, establishing three weekly direct connections between the two nations. Officials at Bandaranaike International Airport confirmed the return of these services, which are timed to coincide with the country's peak tourism period. Upon landing, passengers were greeted with a traditional Kandyan dance display coordinated by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau to provide a welcoming atmosphere. This resumption of air travel is anticipated to bolster the number of visitors arriving from Switzerland throughout the winter months, strengthening tourism ties during the high season.
