While the previous voter list identified him as “Prof CNR Rao,” the updated version included an additional letter in his professional title, appearing as “Proff CNR Rao.” This error is classified by election authorities as a self-mismatch, a category of logical discrepancy occurring when a voter’s current information fails to align perfectly with their historical entry in the 2002 electoral roll.
