Authorities in Kathmandu have taken eleven individuals into custody following reports of illegal gambling activities at the Garuda Casino located in Budhanilkantha Municipality. The suspects are accused of violating regulations that prohibit Nepali nationals from participating in card-based games within casino premises. Law enforcement officials conducted the operation at the Taulung-based establishment to enforce these legal restrictions. The group of detainees, who hail from various districts including Ramechhap, Solukhumbu, and Kathmandu, are currently facing charges related to facilitating prohibited gambling.
