Nepal's Finance Minister, Dr. Swarnim Wagle, has reached the United States leading a small delegation to engage in high-level discussions regarding the nation's financial future. Upon his arrival in Washington, D.C., he was greeted by embassy representatives. His itinerary includes formal meetings with World Bank President Ajay Banga and U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. The primary objectives of these diplomatic sessions involve bolstering bilateral economic ties, securing support for infrastructure reconstruction following recent damage, and coordinating strategies to help Nepal remove itself from the Financial Action Task Force's grey list. Furthermore, the delegation intends to explore avenues for advancing comprehensive economic reforms within the country through international cooperation.
