A 29-year-old former behavioral therapist in Singapore, Tricia Lee Hsien, received a S$5,000 fine on October 28 for assaulting a four-year-old boy under her care. The incident took place on June 13, 2024, inside the child's bedroom during a scheduled therapy session. Surveillance footage captured Lee pulling the boy, who has Asperger's syndrome, from his chair onto the floor after he struck her face multiple times. Lee had been working with the child since February 2024 as part of her employment with a therapy organization. The boy's parents had installed the camera for monitoring purposes but were not present during the altercation. Following her guilty plea for voluntarily causing hurt to a minor, a court-ordered gag order was implemented to ensure the victim's anonymity remains protected.
