A formal complaint has been lodged at Joydebpur Police Station regarding the alleged kidnapping of an eighth-grade student from a madrasah in Gazipur. The victim's father identified the primary suspect as Ariful Islam, the 29-year-old director and headteacher of the institution. According to the legal filing, Islam had repeatedly harassed the student and made unwanted romantic overtures toward her. The girl reportedly faced threats of abduction after declining his advances. Four additional individuals, including the suspect's parents and brother, have also been named in the case. Authorities are currently investigating the incident, which reportedly stems from the student's refusal of the headteacher's persistent romantic interest. The accused individuals are reportedly residents of Char Bawla village in Mymensingh Sadar upazila.
