Members of the HK Anti-war Mobilization group organized a public demonstration in the Causeway Bay shopping district on October 4, 2026. During the event, participants read aloud and recorded the names of 1,400 Palestinians reported killed in Gaza since the implementation of a ceasefire mediated by the United States in October 2025. The activists utilized a whiteboard to display the names of the deceased, clearing and updating the list continuously throughout the protest. Held during the busy National Day holiday period, the demonstration attracted the attention of local residents and tourists, many of whom paused to photograph the display or collect informational pamphlets distributed by the organizers.
