Hong Kong law enforcement officials have detained a 34-year-old man following allegations of animal cruelty. The suspect, identified by the surname Ho, was reportedly observed by animal welfare volunteers placing rat poison into food containers intended for stray cats. The incident was documented through surveillance cameras installed by these volunteers, with the footage subsequently circulating widely across social media platforms. Upon arriving at the location early Saturday morning, police officers discovered a package of rodenticide and a fruit knife in the man's possession. Consequently, he was taken into custody on charges related to animal cruelty and the possession of an offensive weapon. The investigation into the matter remains ongoing as authorities process the evidence gathered at the scene.
