The House of Representatives prosecution team intends to call approximately 25 witnesses to support the impeachment charge regarding Vice President Sara Duterte's alleged unexplained wealth. Manila Representative Joel Chua indicated that the list includes 15 bank officials, alongside representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Anti-Money Laundering Council, and former Senator Antonio Trillanes IV. To streamline the proceedings, the prosecution has requested that the Vice President confirm the authenticity and ownership of specific bank accounts held with her husband, Manases Carpio. If Duterte acknowledges these financial records, the number of required witnesses could decrease significantly. Prosecutors stated they would evaluate the necessity of further testimony as the hearings progress, noting they may conclude their presentation once they believe the evidence sufficiently substantiates the allegations outlined in the impeachment complaint.
