Indian authorities have launched a comprehensive aviation plan to manage the influx of approximately 35 special aircraft arriving for the upcoming BRICS summit. With about 12 heads of state expected to attend, officials are utilizing multiple facilities, including Palam Air Force Station, Delhi Airport, and Noida Airport, to accommodate the surge in VVIP and charter flights. Dedicated parking bays have been secured across these locations, with additional capacity identified in Hindon, Jaipur, and Lucknow to handle potential overflow. The operation involves coordination between various government bodies, including the Indian Air Force, the Ministry of External Affairs, and local police forces to ensure security and logistical efficiency. Specialized immigration counters and ceremonial lounges are being prepared to facilitate the arrival and departure of high-level delegations, with peak traffic anticipated between September 11 and September 12.
