Maryam Mahmoudi Moghadam has been named a finalist in the 2026 Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition held in Shanghai. Out of 2,100 global submissions, she is the sole Iranian representative among the 50 selected artists from 19 different regions. Her entry features artwork from the children’s book "Muri and Guri," authored by Ahmad Akbarpour and released by Tooti Publishing House. A panel of five international judges selected the finalists, whose works will be showcased at the China Shanghai International Children’s Book Fair from November 13 to 15. Additionally, the illustrations will appear in the 2026 Golden Pinwheel Yearbook. Starting November 4, the public can view the entries in an online gallery and participate in a vote to determine the winner of the People’s Choice Award.
