Iran's ambassador to the Netherlands, serving as the nation's representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, has reported significant damage to domestic infrastructure. According to the official, American military operations targeted chemical industries, resulting in harm to 111 distinct petrochemical and pharmaceutical sites. The envoy stated that these actions caused substantial disruptions to supply chains. Furthermore, the representative argued that the destruction of these facilities has hindered the effective execution of the Chemical Weapons Convention, complicating Iran's ability to adhere to international standards regarding chemical industry oversight and safety protocols.
