Gholamhossein Darzi, Iran’s representative to the United Nations, has formally requested that the United States base its diplomatic discourse on verified evidence rather than unfounded claims. During his address, Darzi criticized recent military operations conducted by the U.S. and Israel against Iranian interests, insisting that such actions violate international legal standards and require accountability. Furthermore, the Iranian diplomat characterized unilateral economic sanctions as a form of economic terrorism. In a broader critique of American foreign policy, he also advocated for the immediate termination of the long-standing U.S. trade embargo against Cuba, arguing that such restrictive measures are detrimental and unjustifiable under international norms.
