During a Kurultai session, Deputy Interior Minister Sanzhar Adilov addressed inquiries regarding the enforcement of search operations in these specific nations. The discussion emerged during the legislative review of a protocol modifying a 2010 CIS treaty concerning the tracking of fugitives. Although the original agreement was intended to include Ukraine and Moldova, those countries did not ultimately ratify the document. Deputy Zamira Kuziyeva questioned the specific legal mechanisms Kazakhstan utilizes for cross-border cooperation in these jurisdictions. Adilov confirmed that existing protocols provide the necessary framework for Kazakhstan to continue its search efforts and respond to extradition or location requests involving these two countries, despite their non-participation in the specific CIS treaty mentioned.
