During a recent government session, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov highlighted the growing threat of fraudulent activities linked to the expansion of the cryptocurrency and tokenization sectors. He noted that the Agency for Financial Monitoring recently intervened to shut down an illicit operation that was offering microloans through digital assets. In response to these emerging risks, the Prime Minister has directed relevant government agencies to enhance consumer protection measures within the digital space. Specifically, the Ministry of Digital Development and the National Bank have been tasked with intensifying their efforts to bolster cybersecurity protocols to safeguard citizens from evolving financial scams in the digital economy.
