During a recent United Nations Security Council open debate regarding the Middle East and the Palestinian issue, Kazakhstan advocated for a peaceful resolution to ongoing regional conflicts. Permanent Representative Kairat Umarov emphasized the necessity for all involved parties to practice significant restraint and prioritize diplomatic engagement to avoid further instability. Representing the Kazakh government, Umarov reiterated the nation's commitment to a two-state solution as the primary path toward lasting peace. The session, held at the UN headquarters under the Greek presidency, included contributions from seventy speakers and featured a briefing by the acting UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process, Ramiz Alakbarov. Kazakhstan’s official stance remains focused on preventing a wider escalation of hostilities through international cooperation and dialogue.
