The Korean National Symphony Orchestra recently held its inaugural music festival at a scenic mountaintop location in Gunwi County, Daegu. Under the direction of Adrien Perruchon, the ensemble performed Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, known as the Pastoral, during a Friday evening event in September. The outdoor setting provided a unique acoustic experience, as the orchestral performance blended with the natural sounds of the surrounding forest, including rustling leaves and insects. Despite the unconventional venue, the orchestra maintained a high level of clarity and focus throughout the concert, which was highlighted by the presence of a half-moon visible to the audience. This event marked a departure from traditional concert hall settings, offering attendees an immersive musical experience in a natural environment.
