The government of the Macao Special Administrative Region observed the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China on Thursday. The morning began with a formal flag-raising event held at Golden Lotus Square, where the national anthem accompanied the hoisting of both the Chinese national flag and the regional flag of Macao.
