The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has issued a statement clarifying that former Lembaga Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim opted to wear his purple lock-up uniform and handcuffs during his recent Sessions Court appearance. According to the commission, both legal counsel and law enforcement officials had advised the former chairman to change into civilian clothing and remove his restraints prior to the proceedings. Abdul Azeez reportedly declined these suggestions, insisting on maintaining his appearance until the formal charges were presented. The MACC emphasized that no official instructions were given to force him to appear in such attire and requested that the public refrain from spreading speculative or incorrect information regarding the incident. Abdul Azeez has entered a plea of not guilty to the charges brought against him.
