A 19-year-old female student was discovered deceased in a rented Kuantan residence on October 6. Local police arrived at the scene around 4:30 a.m. after receiving a report from the victim's 19-year-old boyfriend regarding a physical dispute between the couple. Upon arrival at the Jalan Air Putih 2 property, officers located the young woman unresponsive in a ground-floor bedroom. Forensic analysis indicated signs of neck compression, leading to an official pronouncement of death. Reports suggest the couple, who shared the guesthouse with other students, had a history of conflict stemming from the suspect's intense jealousy. Witnesses reportedly overheard a heated argument occurring shortly before the tragedy. The suspect has since turned himself in to the police to face investigation regarding the incident.
