Nepal's aspirations for direct qualification to the Cricket World Cup Qualifier have concluded following Oman's recent victory against Canada. With Oman reaching 33 points, Nepal is mathematically unable to surpass them, as their maximum achievable total stands at 32 points. Currently, Nepal holds 24 points from 32 matches. Consequently, the national team must now pursue the playoff qualification path to remain in contention for the World Cup. The top three spots in the league have already been secured by the United States, Scotland, and the Netherlands, who lead the standings with 47, 45, and 38 points respectively. In the previous tournament cycle, Nepal had successfully qualified for the World Cup Qualifier by finishing within the top four positions.
