Authorities in Palatine, a suburb of Chicago, have taken 19-year-old Alexandros Paporakis into custody following reports of a planned mass shooting. Law enforcement officials were alerted after an individual received a document from the suspect detailing violent intentions against a local Hindu place of worship and individuals of Indian heritage. The suspect had reportedly circulated images of tactical gear, including a rifle, body armor, and ammunition magazines. Upon his arrest as he departed his residence, police conducted a search of the premises. During the investigation, officers discovered a rifle, multiple loaded magazines, and various materials promoting white supremacist ideologies. The suspect remains in police custody as officials continue to examine the evidence related to the alleged threat.
