Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye have scheduled an urgent meeting of the Strategic Political and Defence Committee in Riyadh for next week. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that the session aims to evaluate the security situation following intensified Houthi strikes on Saudi civilian and economic infrastructure, including a recent power facility attack in Madinah. This emergency gathering follows the formalization of a trilateral defense pact signed on August 7, which establishes a collective security framework where an assault on one participant is considered an attack on all three nations. The alliance intends to address the current regional instability and coordinate a strategic response to these ongoing threats.
