A delegation from the PML-N, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, recently engaged in discussions with PPP provincial representatives at the Governor House in Lahore. This gathering marked the first session of the coordination committee in over a year and a half, aiming to resolve ongoing friction between the two coalition partners. Despite the PML-N characterizing the dialogue as a constructive step toward stabilizing their political alliance, the PPP expressed skepticism regarding the efficacy of these talks. PPP leadership indicated a lack of enthusiasm for reviewing past commitments, suggesting that the meeting failed to produce any substantial progress or concrete agreements. The conflicting interpretations of the session highlight the persistent challenges in maintaining a cohesive working relationship between the two parties as they attempt to address provincial grievances and power-sharing concerns.
