Qatar continues to play a leading role in the global conservation of falconry, a practice recognized by UNESCO in 2010 as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This international achievement was supported by a coalition of eleven nations. Domestically, the nation reinforces these traditions by hosting the Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition, known as S'hail. Now in its tenth edition, the event serves as a platform to celebrate and preserve hunting heritage. Ali bin Khatam al-Mahshadi, chairman of the Al Gannas Society, noted that the organization actively participates in the exhibition to highlight its specialized cultural role in the hunting sector. The ongoing success of S'hail reflects a decade of dedicated efforts to maintain and showcase these historical practices to the public.
