The Qatar Red Crescent Society, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, has commenced a humanitarian project aimed at enhancing living standards for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar. With a budget of $517,877, the initiative focuses on building medium-term housing and providing essential non-food supplies to 704 families, totaling 4,224 people. This effort seeks to address critical issues within the camps, such as extreme overcrowding, structural instability, and vulnerability to environmental hazards like monsoon weather and fires. By improving shelter quality, the project aims to bolster the safety, privacy, and overall stability of the displaced population. Beneficiaries are being identified through a specific eligibility assessment process to ensure aid reaches those most in need.
