Rastriya Swatantra Party MP Buddhiprasad Pant has urged the government to drop charges and release young protesters arrested or injured during the Gen Z movement. Speaking in parliament, Pant criticized the current administration for allegedly suppressing the youth, noting that the government itself was formed following the momentum generated by these demonstrations. He argued that if the protesters are considered guilty for their actions, then the Prime Minister and cabinet members who benefited from the movement should also be held accountable. Describing the youth-led protests against corruption and poor governance as a significant political intervention, Pant demanded the immediate withdrawal of legal cases against those still in custody or hiding. He emphasized that the aspirations of these young activists remain unfulfilled and called for unconditional justice for all individuals affected by the state's crackdown.
