Customs officials at King Fahd International Airport in Dammam successfully prevented the illegal entry of 40,000 amphetamine tablets. The illicit substances were discovered hidden inside glass cups within a postal package arriving in the country. According to Hamoud Al-Harbi, a spokesperson for the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the contraband was identified through the use of advanced security screening technology. Following the discovery, the authority collaborated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to track the shipment, resulting in the apprehension of two individuals designated as the recipients. This operation is part of the ongoing efforts by Saudi customs to enhance border security and prevent the trafficking of narcotics into the Kingdom.
