The Saudi Ministry of Interior has issued a formal warning regarding the illegal practice of allowing employees to perform work for external parties or for their own private gain. Employers found violating these regulations face severe consequences, including a maximum financial penalty of SR100,000 and a potential prison sentence of up to six months. Furthermore, offenders may be prohibited from recruiting new workers for a period of five years. Authorities have stressed the importance of strict compliance with existing labor, residency, and border security laws. To ensure enforcement, the ministry has encouraged the public to report any observed violations. Residents in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province are instructed to use the 911 emergency number, while those in other parts of the Kingdom should contact 999.
