The Ukrainian municipality of Oleshky is currently facing critical deficits in food and medical provisions. Since Russian forces took control of the area in 2022, the local population has experienced a drastic decline. Official estimates indicate that the number of residents remaining in the city has plummeted from approximately 24,000 individuals to roughly 2,000. The ongoing occupation continues to impact the living conditions of those who have stayed behind, as basic necessities become increasingly difficult to obtain.
