The National Environment Agency (NEA) in Singapore is actively tracking current haze developments, including the analysis of fire hotspots and their influence on regional air quality. This update follows public inquiries regarding potential enforcement actions under the Transboundary Haze Pollution Act. Regarding the significant haze event of 2015, the agency previously issued legal notices to six companies connected to fires on concession lands. While the investigation into two firms concluded after they provided evidence of no association with the land during the incidents, the NEA confirms that probes remain active for four other Indonesian entities. These companies are PT Bumi Andalas Permai, PT Bumi Mekar Hijau, PT Sebangun Bumi Andalas Wood Industries, and PT Rimba Hutani Mas. The agency continues to gather relevant data to manage the situation effectively.
