A 47-year-old American citizen was apprehended by Singaporean police on September 25 following a series of alleged perfume thefts at Changi Airport. Law enforcement officials identified the suspect through security camera footage after he reportedly stole items from retail stores in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 during incidents occurring in November 2025 and April 2026. The total value of the stolen merchandise is estimated at nearly S$1,000. Although the suspect had initially left the country after the alleged offenses, authorities from the Airport Police Division successfully tracked his identity and coordinated his arrest upon his return to the airport. He now faces legal consequences for the multiple counts of theft reported across the transit areas.
