A 76-year-old woman, Tay Seok Kheng, appeared in court on September 29 to face 13 charges related to the mistreatment of her domestic employee. Prosecutors allege that the defendant repeatedly assaulted the helper, including slapping her at least ten times, pulling her hair, pinching her hands, and striking her head with a walking stick. Furthermore, the accused is charged with using abusive language and criminal force. A particularly serious allegation involves an incident on March 8, 2025, at a Yishun Avenue 1 parking facility, where the woman allegedly reversed her vehicle toward the helper, endangering her safety. The charges encompass ten counts of voluntarily causing hurt, alongside accusations of harassment and rash behavior. Legal proceedings are currently underway to address these claims of systemic physical and verbal abuse.
