The 11th Ulsan Ulju Mountain Film Festival in South Korea will showcase a retrospective of six works by the late Iranian director Abbas Kiarostami. Scheduled from September 18 to 22, the program highlights the filmmaker's evolution, spanning from his early projects at the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults to his later digital experiments. Featured titles include "The Bread and Alley," "Orderly or Disorderly," "The Chorus," "No," "Ten," and "Take Me Home." Festival programmer Jinna Lee curated the selection to emphasize Kiarostami’s recurring themes of movement, roads, and the blending of documentary and fiction. The retrospective serves as a tribute to the director’s innovative approach to storytelling and his ability to challenge traditional cinematic boundaries through a compassionate focus on human experiences and everyday life.
