The Thai men's volleyball squad concluded their journey in the 2026 AVC Men’s Volleyball Continent Championship following a 0-3 defeat against Australia in Fukuoka, Japan. Despite a spirited performance, the Thai team, currently ranked 48th globally, could not overcome their 42nd-ranked opponents in this quarterfinal match. This appearance marked a significant milestone for Thailand, as it was their first time reaching the tournament's final eight since 2015. Although the team has yet to secure a spot in the semifinals, their progress in this competition remains notable. Head coach Park Ki-won fielded a lineup including Boonyarit Wongthorn and Napadech Phinitdee for the encounter. This result contrasts with their previous meeting in 2022, where Thailand had defeated Australia during the AVC Cup held in Nakhon Pathom.
