Dhaka experienced two consecutive fire incidents on Thursday morning. Shortly after emergency services responded to a blaze at an Apex showroom located in the Dhanmondi-27 area, a second fire was reported in Mohakhali. According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the Mohakhali incident began around 11:10 am in a structure situated behind the SKS Shopping Mall, near the former British American Tobacco facility. Fire officials confirmed receiving the alert at 11:12 am and immediately deployed three units to the site to manage the flames and the significant smoke produced by the fire. Authorities are currently focused on containment efforts at the Mohakhali location following the earlier emergency response in Dhanmondi.
