A distinguished Uzbek craftswoman, decorated with the Shon-Sharaf Order, recently showcased her traditional suzani embroidery in Venice. With over two decades of experience, the artisan has been affiliated with the Hunarmand Association since 2007 and the Association of Artists, Art Critics and Folk Craftsmen of Uzbekistan since 2016. Her intricate textile creations are featured in private collections across numerous countries, including the United Kingdom, Australia, and the United States. Notably, the British Museum has included two of her embroidered chapans in its collection since 2023. During the Venice event, attendees were provided with a live demonstration of her specialized needlework techniques, highlighting the cultural significance and craftsmanship involved in creating these traditional Uzbek pieces.
