The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have secured quarterback Baker Mayfield with a new three-year contract extension valued at $165 million. Mayfield, who is currently 31 years old, was previously playing under a three-year agreement worth $100 million that he had finalized in March 2024. This new deal comes as he was approaching the final year of his existing contract. The extension ensures the veteran signal-caller remains with the franchise for the foreseeable future, significantly increasing his annual earnings compared to his previous arrangement. The move solidifies the team's leadership position on the field as they look to build on their recent performance with Mayfield at the helm.
