A 30-year-old Chinese national, Yu Meng, has entered a guilty plea for obstructing a public servant through the use of force. The incident occurred on October 13, 2024, at a residence located on Swettenham Road. Following the termination of her relationship with her former partner, Yu reportedly gained unauthorized entry into his home on two separate occasions. When law enforcement officers arrived at the scene to address the trespassing complaint, the defendant attempted to seize a firearm from one of the responding officers. In addition to the primary charge, another offense related to public order and nuisance will be addressed during the upcoming sentencing process. The defendant and the complainant had previously maintained a romantic relationship between September 2023 and April 2024.
