The Cricket Association of Nepal has officially confirmed that the Decision Review System will be implemented during the third season of the Nepal Premier League. Association Secretary Paras Khadka previously indicated that the organization was vetting technology providers to ensure the accuracy of the system. This integration marks the first time the league will utilize such advanced officiating tools. The system allows teams to challenge umpire rulings, specifically regarding dismissals and bowling decisions. According to officials, the implementation will feature comprehensive 3D ball tracking technology to assist in evaluating leg-before-wicket appeals. This move aligns the domestic tournament with modern international cricket standards, providing players and teams with a mechanism to address potentially incorrect on-field calls during matches.
