In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2026, the DOC Medical Center in Qatar has launched a series of initiatives aimed at improving public understanding of breast health. The "I AM PINK" symposium, held on October 17 at the Mandarin Oriental in Doha, focused on the continuum of care from early diagnosis to long-term survivorship. Led by Dr. Maisoon Elshtewi, the event featured a panel of medical consultants who discussed the necessity of identifying physical changes and consulting professionals promptly. These educational efforts are designed to foster community engagement and encourage proactive health management. Following the symposium, the center plans to host the DOCATHON, an event intended to further integrate medical guidance with public participation to emphasize the critical role of timely screenings and informed health decisions.
