Executive Secretary Ralph Recto has invited international investors to present project proposals for the Luzon Economic Corridor, promising that the Philippine government will actively resolve regulatory and logistical obstacles. Speaking at the inaugural LEC Investment Forum in Manila, which hosted approximately 600 industry leaders and officials, Recto emphasized that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. fully supports the initiative. The project seeks to create an integrated economic zone connecting Subic, Clark, Metro Manila, and Batangas through enhanced infrastructure, digital connectivity, and reliable energy systems. Officials anticipate that the successful implementation of this corridor could create as many as one million new jobs. The development of this hub is being supported by international partners, including the United States, Japan, Australia, and Canada, as part of a broader effort to strengthen the region's industrial and logistics capabilities.
