A parent identified as Wang intervened to save his three-and-a-half-year-old son after the child was allegedly left unattended during a swimming class at SingPost Centre. The incident took place on September 6 at the Little Splashes Aquatics facility. According to the father, he observed his son struggling in the water from a designated viewing area and felt compelled to jump into the pool to assist him. The class, marketed as an independent session for children, reportedly involved one instructor overseeing three students without additional staff support. Following the event, the swimming school announced that the instructor involved has been suspended as a precautionary measure while the situation is reviewed. The father noted that parents are typically restricted from the poolside during these specific lessons, forcing them to remain in a separate observation zone.
