Aarti Rawal, a 27-year-old from Delhi, decided to receive her first flu shot in 2025 following prolonged health complications from long Covid in 2023 and 2024, which included frequent bronchial attacks worsened by winter pollution. After experiencing a noticeable improvement in her health and fewer illnesses despite regular travel, she encouraged her family to get vaccinated, overcoming their initial skepticism about its necessity. Medical professionals interviewed corroborated these observations, noting that individuals of all age groups, including children, who have received the flu vaccine are experiencing less severe symptoms during the ongoing surge of influenza, particularly swine flu, in the region.
