Kulman Ghising, the former executive director of the Chilime Hydropower Project and current head of the Ujyaalo Nepal Party, has arrived at the Rasuwa site to support ongoing rescue efforts. His involvement follows a formal request from the Nepal Army, which sought his technical expertise and coordination skills to navigate the challenges within the project's tunnel. A specialized rescue team, which includes international experts, is currently working to reach the powerhouse where individuals are feared trapped following recent flooding. Ghising’s previous tenure at the facility provides him with unique knowledge of the tunnel's layout, which officials hope will prove critical to the success of the mission. He had previously conducted an initial assessment of the flood-impacted infrastructure before returning to provide direct assistance to the joint response team.
