Authorities in Fujairah have announced a revision of the maximum speed permitted on the Fujairah–Khorfakkan Road. Starting from October 13, 2026, the speed limit will be lowered from 120km/h to 100km/h. This initiative is a collaborative effort between the Fujairah Police and the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, aimed at enhancing road safety and protecting all commuters. Officials have emphasized the importance of adhering to the new regulations and paying close attention to updated traffic signage along the route. This move follows a similar decision made by Abu Dhabi Mobility last month to lower speed limits on a major highway. The adjustment is part of a broader strategy to ensure stricter compliance with traffic laws and reduce the risk of accidents on high-traffic roads within the emirate.
