Senate Minority Leader Alan Peter Cayetano has publicly accused Senator Panfilo Lacson of using intimidation tactics against contractors involved in Laguna Lakeshore development projects in Taguig City. During a recent social media broadcast, Cayetano claimed that Lacson threatened these individuals with plunder charges to force their cooperation regarding alleged project irregularities. According to Cayetano, while two contractors reportedly complied, four others resisted the pressure. The Minority Leader asserted that Lacson and his legal team had pre-drafted statements and were actively pressuring the holdouts to sign them under the threat of legal action. Cayetano highlighted the significant fear surrounding plunder accusations in the current political climate, though he did not disclose the identities of the contractors or provide physical copies of the documents mentioned in his allegations.
