Gulf Development and Singtel Group have initiated a strategic collaboration aimed at constructing new submarine cable infrastructure connecting Thailand and Singapore. This joint venture seeks to bolster the digital economy status of both nations by leveraging Gulf’s infrastructure capabilities alongside Singtel’s extensive experience in subsea network services. The initiative is designed to address the rising regional demand for advanced digital resources, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and data center operations. According to Gulf Development CEO Sarath Ratanavadi, this agreement marks a significant advancement in the company's broader digital infrastructure strategy. By combining their respective expertise, the two firms intend to establish a robust platform that supports long-term growth and value creation within the Southeast Asian digital landscape.
