Po Leung Kuk, a major Hong Kong charitable organization, has designated 16 employees to act as national security tutors. This initiative is part of a government program aimed at increasing understanding of national security among staff, service recipients, and the general public. During the launch of the education team, senior managers May Cheung and Sherman Cheung, who volunteered for the roles, emphasized that the program would avoid force-feeding information. Instead, the charity plans to integrate security awareness into cultural events, such as the Mid-Autumn Festival. Additionally, the organization is developing educational materials, including picture books with national security themes, for distribution to over 100 schools and institutions. These efforts build upon existing security-related activities already being implemented by the charity across its various service sectors.
