Starting September 24, Indonesia and Hong Kong will jointly host the first edition of the FIFA ASEAN Cup. The competition features 14 participating nations, including all 11 members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations alongside guest teams from Hong Kong, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The tournament is structured into two separate divisions. Division 1, hosted in Indonesia, includes eight teams divided into two groups, with the final scheduled for October 5. Meanwhile, Division 2 will take place in Hong Kong, featuring six teams split into two groups, culminating in a final match on October 3. This inaugural event marks a new regional football initiative supported by FIFA.
